SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

Mr. Papi has over 25 years of civil engineering design and project management experience. He began practicing in 1995 working under the direction of the Middlesex County Engineer and he has since broadened his skills working in the private and public sectors as a licensed professional engineer, project manager and municipal board engineer. Throughout his career, Mr. Papi has completed projects for various municipalities, private and public schools, colleges and universities, commercial business, warehouses, athletic fields and private developers.

As a Principal Partner at East Point Engineering, LLC, Mr. Papi is responsible for leading projects from early planning through design, permitting and construction. He performs site due diligence studies, land use zoning review, site and parking layouts, land grading, stormwater management and utility design. He is proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking, Intelisolve Hydraflow Hydrographs / Storm Sewers and BlueBeam Revu21. Most importantly he acts as a single point of contact for muti-discipline projects, through diligent project management and collaboration with other design professionals.

As a Municipal Planning Board Engineer, Mr. Papi is responsible for reviewing and writing land development ordinances, reviewing and updating municipal tax maps, reviewing site plan and subdivision applications, writing technical review letters, attending public hearings as the board engineer, preparing bonding estimates, performing site inspections and preparing punch lists for project close out and bond release. As the Board Engineer, Mr. Papi, is responsible to ensure that all projects that come before the Board meet the requirements of the N.J.D.E.P. Stormwater Management Rules and local stormwater ordinance.

Mr. Papi had previously worked with CMX, Inc. (formerly Schoor DePalma, Inc.), where he was a Senior Project Manager and elected Associate of the Firm. He was a key member of the design team for large residential subdivisions (+300 lots), commercial site plans and N.J.D.O.T. Local Aid Road Programs. During his tenure he was appointed the lead project manager and design engineer of the Firm’s School Construction Division where he worked directly with Architectural Firms on a variety of educational projects. Mr. Papi has been directly involved with the design and construction of over 50 schools within the State of New Jersey. Some of these projects were managed and funded by the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation N.J.S.C.C. (now designated the New Jersey Schools Development Authority N.J.S.D.A.).

Mr. Papi also specializes in Sports Engineering, having worked on numerous athletic field projects in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He has consulted private schools, local boards of education, colleges and universities and worked directly with their athletic directors, school administrators, school presidents and coaches in the planning and design of athletic facilities. He has in depth design and construction experience with synthetic turf and natural grass athletic fields, running track layout, track and field events, sports lighting, bleacher systems, scoreboards, PA systems, athletic field storm drainage and field houses.

In 2009, Mr. Papi co-founded East Point Engineering, LLC based in Marlboro, New Jersey.
